Reliable bag uncuffing with case sealing.
This flexible system utilizes a unique vacuum uncuffing process combined with automatic servo-controlled motions to easily accommodate random cases of varying sizes or a dedicated case throughput. The RUC/S-20 secures the liner bag with vacuum in four places and continuously holds on to the bag as it is uncuffed from the box and folded over top of the product. The case then moves to the flap tucking and tape sealing stations for completion. The RUC/S-20 runs at speeds up to 20 cases per minute.
Reliability is greatly enhanced by the system’s unmatched ability to maintain control of the bag throughout the uncuffing process. Using a high-volume rotary vacuum system, the RUC/S-20 secures the liner bag in four places and continuously holds on to the bag as it is uncuffed from the box and folded over top of the product.
The vacuum control reduces the potential for snags that can damage the poly bag as compared to systems that utilize a mechanical uncuffing mechanism. Vacuum on the bag is only released when the bag is in the folding stage, preventing thin flimsy bags from collapsing and affecting the fold.
The RUC/S-20 is built on a MIG welded tube steel frame and features design elements intended for a lifetime of reliable production use. The machine features full length Lexan guarding with anti-intrusion switches. Multiple remote mounted emergency and cycle stops are located for easy access around the machine.
