High-speed production.
At Wayne Automation, we take automated production seriously. We know our customers demand the best performing, most reliable machines. Nowhere is that more important than in high-speed operations. Wayne machines are engineered specifically to address the unique challenges of handling paper at very high rates. The paper handling methods and mechanical systems that have proven reliable at slow speeds often become unusable at high-speed. That’s why each high-speed machine Wayne builds has been engineered specifically to excel at maximum production rates for extended run durations.
High-speed changeover.
Wayne understands that in high-speed production seconds are costly and minutes are an eternity. That is why Wayne has specifically engineered its high-speed machines to be changed over as efficiently as possible. Whether it’s removable T-Tooling on our partition inserters or motorized adjustment axes on our case erectors, we know time is of the essence
Reliable designs for maximum service life.
There is nothing more frustrating than having your high-speed production line down for maintenance. Wayne focuses on providing systems that are designed to survive in high-speed production environments. Vacuum systems are filtered ahead of valves to improve their service life. Mechanical drives include pneumatic chain tensioners to ensure correct tension and absorb shock loads that rapidly degrade chain life. Servo-grade couplings replace jaw-type couplings to provide trouble-free and long-service life. These are a few of the many small things Wayne does that make a big difference.
Streamlined preventative maintenance.
Wayne recognizes that planned preventative maintenance cycles need to be as quick and streamlined as possible. We design our machines specifically to make routine, preventative maintenance easy and quick. Valves, sensors and gauges are clearly marked throughout the machine defining their function and intended setting. Available Total Planned Maintenance (TPM) displays required maintenance tasks right on the operator HMI. The maintenance task, complete with pictures of the activity and location on the machine are displayed and maintainers are prompted to sign off on completion of the task, providing traceability and accountability. Further reducing maintenance time, available automatic airline lubrication and grease dispensing systems are available. These automatic systems take the guesswork out of lubrication activities and happen automatically during machine run cycles.
